Spectrum automated patient onboarding, invoicing, and insurance AR across multiple healthcare practices. The gains come from building a system that fits the operation precisely, not from applying a generic tool.

Is a fractional CTO right for an established business or only startups?

Established businesses only. The problems we solve come from businesses that have grown to a point where manual processes and disconnected tools are actively limiting them. Early-stage startups are not typically the right fit.

Our current engagements span agriculture operations software, finance workflow automation, and healthcare MSO systems. But the industry matters less than the problem type. If it requires deep domain knowledge combined with complex engineering, and it hasn't been solved by prior attempts, it is likely the kind of problem we are built for.

Can you rescue or rebuild a software project that failed?

Yes. Some engagements involve taking over a system that was built wrong, understanding what it was supposed to do, and rebuilding it properly. We don't inherit bad architecture and paper over it. If the foundation is wrong, we say so — and we tell you what it would actually take to fix it.

Engagements don't end arbitrarily. They continue as long as they're delivering value. When the work is done and the system is stable, we have an honest conversation about what comes next. Some clients continue on a lighter retainer. Others take full ownership. We help plan the transition either way.
